Your Weather, a four-minute live weather report at
9:58 pm every evening. WILL's weather team, the most
qualified in the area, includes four broadcast meteorologists:
Ed Kieser, Jay Searles, Daniel
Pounder and Scott Olthoff, as well as veteran weather
broadcaster Mike Sola, who did
weather forecasting for a commercial station for five years
before joining the WILL staff in 2000. Ed is the only Certified
Broadcast Meteorologist in central Illinois. He was the 11th
person in the country be receive the award from the American
Meteorological Association, and the first in Illinois.
In addition to the 9:58 pm report, WILL-TV YourWeather
airs at 6:58 pm and either 7:58 or 8:58 pm every night. Both WILL-TV's and UI-7's weather broadcasts originate from the Richmond Journalism Teaching Studio adjacent to WILL's Campbell Hall for Public Telecommunication.
