Bob and Lea Gieselman listen to classical music on WILL-FM from early in the morning until well into the evening. They listen in the car, in the bedroom, in the kitchen, in the den, even in the laundry room. "I have a radio on out there, too. It can get kind of lonely when I’m folding," says Lea.

WILL-FM’s glorious music is such an integral part of their life that Bob says, "We couldn’t function well without it. Part of the time we listen carefully, but always it’s there in the background, no matter what we’re doing, as a faithful companion."

Wanting to give something back to the station that provides them so much enjoyment, Bob and Lea arranged a bequest that will provide a gift to the station after their deaths. "We arranged a deferred gift through the University of Illinois Foundation. It’s all set up to go to the WILL Future Fund. It’s something we feel good about," says Bob, a retired University of Illinois English professor.

Bob and Lea have noticed that classical music has disappeared from the airwaves in some American cities. "It’s comforting to know that because of the WILL Future Fund, there will always be a good classical music station in our community," says Bob. "It’s one of the things that makes it a attractive place to live and raise a family."

Bob says that by setting up a bequest to the WILL Future Fund in advance, they know that their assets will go to the charities they designate, and not to pay taxes. "I suppose I’m a quirky professor, but I like to know where our charitable gifts are going and how they are going to be used," says Bob. "I like to know the organization we’re helping."
