Ed
Kieser, WILL’s chief meteorologist, received one of two
Campus Awards for Excellence in Public Engagement from the
Office of the Chancellor at the University of Illinois.
The award
recognizes the extraordinary contributions of faculty,
administrators and students to connect the campus with the
broader community on issues of critical social impact.
Ed is
involved in numerous outreach activities both on-air and off:
his annual tornado safety show, the Talk To segments on
AM 580, presentations at agricultural conferences, work with
governmental agencies on safety issues, and public speaking
engagements throughout central Illinois and western Indiana.
